I have caved to the calling.
My life consists of facts, numbers, statistics, ratios. I've written before, but usually pieces dealing with academics and politics. This is my portal to leaving that behind (for the moment, of course) and exploring those random thoughts that circulate around in my head at night. There's so much more to who I am, so many things that I find humorous, ironic, ridiculous, and beautiful that I want to share. Mainly with myself, and maybe others who seek out this blog and need it for the same reasons I do.

My name is Stefanie. I live in a small town, have two young daughters. I'm a casualty the general population likes to dub "single mom". Odds are stacked against me in every angle. (I know this...statistics, remember?) For so long, I've let myself view my circumstances as unfortunate, determined by what someone else chose to dole out upon me. Recently, I have realized what my circumstances have truly been: a blessing. I love my crazy life. I love each and every day that I get to spend teaching and learning from my children.
I'm attempting to step out of my analytical box and let my creativity flow through this blog...bear with me...it's going to be a learning experience for me.
